Like many, yoga didn’t just cross my path—it found me when I needed it most.

More than 15 years ago, I was thriving in a successful corporate career, yet my body told a different story. I was exhausted, overstimulated, battling a nervous cough, and unable to sleep properly.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune condition, though at the time, the medical system overlooked it, suggesting instead that I was simply burned out.

Desperate for relief, I turned to yoga after a bit of online research. I booked private sessions with yoga expert Katiza Satja Ivulic, bought my first absurdly expensive yoga mat, and awkwardly sat and lay through the initial session.

But then something remarkable happened the first night after — I slept. After months of restless nights, that first real sleep was enough to convince me to continue.

At the same time, I was enrolled in a reintegration process under the guidance of a psychologist, who encouraged me to take a Mindfulness training. That advice turned out to be life-changing. Jon Kabat-Zinn’s daily Mindfulness practices helped me navigate a body inflamed by an undiagnosed condition, transforming how I handled stress and stimuli. I could literally feel tension slide away.

As a researcher, employment consultant, and marketing manager, I had a clear choice: return to the corporate world or follow this newfound path. The decision was easy—I wanted to bring others into contact with the depth, healing, and possibility that yoga and Mindfulness offer.

Now, after more than 15 years of practice, I’ve studied the ancient Vipassana meditation technique in India and am a certified teacher of integral yoga at all levels, including children's yoga and Mindfulness coaching in the tradition of Jon Kabat-Zinn. Following my personal mission—to bring yoga to those who need it most—I trained with James Fox's Prison Yoga Project, deepening my focus on trauma-sensitive yoga for prisons and addiction recovery.

But beyond certifications and experience, yoga has given me something far greater—the ability to walk my path with trust, open arms, and gratitude for whatever appears. I share this journey with my beloved Polina, Gabriel, and our young twins, Noah and Aaron.
